Newsletter

Hello, we hope you are all keeping well.  Here are just a few little notes to keep you all up to date with what we are up to on the PTA.

Fundraising Cause

Mrs Braithwaite mentioned that the school often takes part in out of school sports competitions and that it would be lovely if the children had a sports kit that they could wear with pride when competing against other schools.  The colour of the kit would be Burgundy tops with the school logo along with either navy or white shorts.  The PTA thinks it is great idea, but we would love your feedback on it please.

Plant sale

In September’s newsletter, we offered you all the chance to purchase plants at a very competitive price.  May I take this opportunity to thank those of you who did take us up on this offer.

Webb Ivory

Just a reminder that these Christmas books are available from Mrs Head at reception.

Yellow Moon Books

These books are fantastic value for money and best of all a percentage of any purchase is given back to the school.  Each of you will be given one these lovely books with this newsletter.

Arts and Craft Afternoon

We shall be holding this on Thursday 23rd November from 3.30 p.m. – 4.30 p.m.  the cost of a ticket will be £3.50, this includes the opportunity to make 4 craft items and also a drink and a biscuit.  There will be eight of the mums from the PTA running it in the main hall.

There will be a limited amount of tickets going on sale for this first Arts and Crafts Afternoon, so it will be a first come first served basis.  If it proves successful then we hope to hold more next year.

Please fill in and sign the attached form and return before Friday 17th November to reserve your tickets.

Christmas Fayre

We are holding this on Friday 8th December, we are currently in the process of sorting out finer details for the fayre, but we are also asking kindly for donations from you to help make it a great success.  We thought we would break it down to make it easier for you all to know what to send in.

Years 5 and 6 – bottles

Years 3 and 4 – packets of Christmas cards or any occasion.

Years 1 and 2 – toiletries gift sets

Year R – cakes, chocolates and boxes of biscuits.

We would ask for these to be brought in nearer the time. A date will be given in the next newsletter.

Thank you for your time.

Tara Paulley

Chairperson of the PTA
