Thank you for your contributions to our ‘Wellie Walk’ we have raised a magnificent total of £499.50, (is there any more sponsor money still to be paid?)  This money is going into school fund to support activities for your children in school.

The Year 6 children recently attended ‘Crucial Crew’ to learn about various life skills.  As always the children were a credit to the school.

This week all the children have visited the Essex County Council recycle bus to learn about looking after our environment and recycling.

Our first competitive match of the season saw us losing 4:0 to Gt. Bromley.  The children all played well but were undone by Gt. Bromley’s star striker.

We have a vacancy for a Parent Governor.  If you are interested and want to find out more please speak to Mr Burnup, Craig Stock or Karen Van Den Broek.  Nominations must be in by the end of the month.

The PTA are holding a Beetle Drive on Friday 19th November - £2 per person – starting at 7.00 p.m.  Come along and join in the fun.  There is a prize for the winner.  Book your place with Mrs Head in the office or ring 01206 392675

On Friday 19th November we will be holding a ‘Bring and Buy’ toy sale in school.  Children can bring in a toy, game or puzzle that they no longer want (in good condition please with no missing pieces).  The toys will be on sale for 50p and all money raised will sent to ‘Children in Need’

On 24th November the children in Years 5 and 6 will be visiting Manningtree High School’s Science Department to carry out some science activities.

Is your child or a friend or neighbours child due to start school in September 2011?  Why don’t you all come along to our Open Day on Wednesday 1st December 9.30-11.30 a.m. You can have a look around the school, see the children working and chat to the staff.
